Perhaps at one time in your life, you had crystal-clear intuitive clarity, but now, not so much.

Or maybe, you went through a period of time where your ability to get psychic information was much more hazy than it is now.

Not to worry, we all experience the ebb and flow of psychic abilities -

Like the tides of the ocean and the rise and setting of the sun, everything has a rhythm and a natural course of wax and wane.

Your intuitive abilities are not excluded from this cycle, nor is your constant communication from Spirit. Right now, you may be experiencing a natural ebb of your abilities and there are several possible reasons for this.

What could be happening?

• Your intuitive and spiritual abilities may be in a temporary recession and there are several possible reasons for this.

• You’re in the midst of personal transition

• Remember: the teachers don't talk during the test

When psychic abilities soften, it’s often because something personal is happening in your life that requires your full undivided attention or you’ve entered into another phase, the next level up and you won’t need to perceive what you were previously perceiving there.

The other most common reason for why your spiritual and intuitive experiences may have diminished is that in the process of opening your abilities to Spirit is because there are several stages. You may be going through a period of ‘quiet’ before the big storm, so to speak, or you may be being prepared for a new gift. 

In some cases, your psychic abilities will go into a sort of hibernation phase when they aren't being actively used for charity, work or serving the community, where a call to action would awaken the gifts once again. I think Spirits also just give out breaks as to not tax our energy fields more than they have to. 

You may be moving onto a new teaching, too.

Once you've learned something, you've learned it. There's no need to continue learning the same lesson here on earth. If you feel you've lost your gifts, keep in mind they just may be moving more into another area, so you can develop another aspect of your path. 

Relax, these abilities are not lost. They are only allowing you to take a break and get accustomed to your new phase of your life - whatever it may be. 

After everything settles down and you move out of this transitional, analytical phase where logical skills are more needed, you’ll start receiving more messages again - during a time when you aren’t getting any, this is typically a time to act and begin implementing those you already have.

No need to panic.

To end, intuitive abilities can wane during times when attention is needed in the physical. This is normal.

However, it’s not possible to lose all your intuitive abilities forever, you need them for your own instinctual survival, so they'll never fully go away. Further, as long as your soul is living on, so will the senses that come with it.
