Ringing In The Ear: What Is My Spirit Guide Telling Me?

Today I am going to answer a question from a blog reader.
The concept we’re addressing today is that of opening up clairaudient abilities, often signified by a ringing in the ears. Ear ringing can be a sign that your Spirit Guides, Angels and Loved Ones in Spirit are attempting to communicate with you.
This concept has come up in so many reading questions, that I wanted to address it here on the blog.
So, here’s our question:
What exactly is the purpose of the ringing? Am I supposed to be tuning in when that happens? Are my guides trying to get something through to me? Or is it a binary signal of some kind?
For instance, does the ringing indicate when my guides want to give me general encouragement. Or, they ring when I'm doing something that I shouldn't and they're trying to give me a little nudge?
The ringing or buzzing in your ears could have several spiritual meanings. Below are a few options:
1 - Your Clairaudient Gifts Are Opening
This is also a sign of opening psychic abilities, specifically, clairaudience.
The ability to hear Spirit is called clairaudience. This gift helps you hear through the veil that separates the physical and Spiritual realms. So when your ears begin to ring, it can be a sign your clairaudient gifts are opening up and you’re beginning to hear the energy.
You can deepen into your clairaudient gifts and train yourself to hear these new sounds.
2 - You’re Attuning To New Spiritual Realms
It could be a new spiritual frequency that you’re attuning to receive.
The Spirit World is a higher frequency realm and the energy can often sound like a barely there high pitched buzz when you begin to sense it. You can think of it as though the Spirit World uses simply another frequency to communicate on and you’re starting to hear it.
If you already hear Spirit, this could symbolize a higher frequency realm, like the Angelic World is beginning to come through now.
3 - Your Spirit Team Wants To Get Your Attention
Ringing, buzzing and popping of your ears is a potential sign of spirit communication. This is a communication technique of many in Spirit, like personal Guides, Angels and Loved Ones to get your attention.
To start, next time you hear the ringing, pause.
Pay attention to what’s going on. Ask internally if something you may need to be aware of or take note of here.
Ringing is used by Spirit to provide you with a general cue that your Spirit team wants you to alert you of something.
The ringing sound is also something you ask your Spiritual friends to reserve for specific purposes, too.
You can ask your Spirit Guides to narrow the use of the ear ringing for a specific purpose. To do this, simply say in prayer or meditation:
"Spirit Team: Please only do the ringing when I need to be really paying attention to something.”
or
"Spirit Team: Please only do the ringing when there is something for my greater good I need to see.”
As you progress, you’ll begin to make associations between certain sounds and certain experiences or as indications of ‘something to pay attention to’ in your life.
All in all, ringing in the ears is one of the best tools many of those in Spirit can access to quickly snap your attention to their guidance. Ringing can also be a sign your clairaudient gifts are opening up or your abilities are expanding to perceive higher frequency realms.
