If you've been following Cards of the Month since the beginning of the year, these decks may look familiar. The Energy Oracle Cards were featured back in February's Cards of the Month, and I also featured the color variation of this deck, The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck in that post.
The Energy Oracle Cards is a 53-Card Deck and Guidebook, and The Original Wolf Pack Tarot Deck Illustrated, also known as the Wolf Pack Black & White Edition, features a 60-Card Deck.
For those new to The Wolf Pack Tarot, there are two versions. Color and Black and White. The Color Deck, is called The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck. It came out later, has 18-more Cards added on top of the Black & White original version of the deck.
If you follow The Wolf Pack Tarot card's images in either deck, in numerical order, they tell a flip-book story of Life according to the Wolf Spirit.
I like both versions of The Wolf Pack Tarot because it follows the flow of Life, in my opinion, and the color version seems to add those 18 additional cards mostly to the end of story on the first deck, extending the story.
In this month's Cards of the Month, though, we will be reading from the first 60-cards featured in the earlier black and white version, which also tells a story of life.
So to start this month, October’s Cards of the Month will go like this:
I'll pull an overarching card to represent the overlying energy of the month.
Then, three cards to represent the:
Past, what energy is moving out
Present, what is being resolved now to prepare for the best future
Future, what energy is coming forward for us to step into and get excited about
One can also see the past, present, and future as what to expect the first ten days of the month, the next ten days, and the final ten days.
I'll pull the overarching card from The Original Wolf Pack Tarot Deck Illustrated and the three timeline cards, past, present, and future, from the Energy Oracle Cards.
These decks work well together, as the Energy Oracle Cards share the energetic influence of what's happening, while The Original Wolf Pack Tarot Deck tends to show what's happening on the ground, or what you can see.
So to begin, the overarching energy for October 2020 -
Overarching energy
12 - Completion
The first card in this Journey of life is 1 - The Past, and I find this fitting because most good journeys start with some sort of resolution with the past.
The final card in the Journey, number 60, ends in true Spirit fashion. It is a Trust card.
The World of Spirit is always asking for trust, and usually confronting fears of the past is what brings that trust forward.
All this plays into our overarching card, because 12 is the Completion card, and it comes fairly early in the Journey of the Wolf.
The Original Wolf Pack Tarot Deck Illustrated is filled with breaks for victory pretty evenly throughout the deck, and this is one such card.
Neither The Original Wolf Pack Tarot Deck Illustrated nor The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck, comes with a guidebook.
Instead, the supporting messages of the deck are written right on the cards themselves at the top.
The Completion card reads:
A time of reward. Opportunity, success, money, good health. Love. A stranger brings good news. The completion of lessons finally learned. A feeling of self-satisfaction concerning a job well done.
This is incredibly positive, and not all Wolf Pack Cards are so positive.
To have such a deck provide such a positive, balanced card, I would expect to experience overall delightful energy this month.
The art on the card goes further. It shows a Wolf who appears contented, next to a carcass, suggesting he may have just eaten a full meal and is now satisfied and full.
Birds circle about, but he sits with them pleased, resting with his paws out in front of him. He seems fine if they take the food, as he’s satisfied.
With this card as the overarching energy, expect this feeling or events that produce such a feeling to weave all throughout your month.
Keep this feeling as the goal energy this month.
If I just saw this card for the whole month, I would have no worries for you at all, we could end the interpretation here.
If you want to stop reading now, rest and enjoy the sensation and knowledge of completion. I would know good things are coming to you this month, perhaps some as surprises.
This looks really good to start - but if you want to know more, let's move into the energy throughout the month that may be present to be aware of.
The Past, what energy is moving out
Rest And Rejuvenation
In the past position, we have the card, Rest And Rejuvenation.
Rest is coming forward as the energy worked with in the most recent past.
When seeing this card in the past position, it seems to symbolize that the energy that needed some attention here is the energy of rest.
Have you been deeply breathing? Are you taking time for rest? If so, these cards suggest you just did. This rest energy is slowly moving out of your energy in the first part of this month.
In the symbolism of the card, blue energy surrounds the resting person. Perhaps this rest was divinely guided or you received a message it was needed. If so, this card is confirmation you did, and you acted on that message - good for you.
This card may also symbolize that things in the past seemed to be moving at a slower, resting pace, given this card is both upright and filled with blue swirls of light. It was spiritually guided and restorative to your yin side.
Given the calm, facial expression of the person on the card, it also suggests this rest was and is welcomed or you may have just come out of a semi-resting phase. This is another great energy to start the month with, and it can symbolize that moving into October, you are feeling rested and restored.
Next, we have the present energy -
The Present, what is being resolved now to prepare for the best future
Attachment
For the present energy, think of it as a bridge that needs to be crossed to move into the future, it's where we are now.
This month, our present card is the Attachment card, and it shows up for the middle part of the month.
Attachment usually stands for something we're ready to let go of, something that gets released from our soul body.
Whenever this card appears, it means that some illusion we held attachment to is releasing. Perhaps the illusion is an answer that never was, a path that was never ours, or a facade that we looked to that has now withered.
The card shows a woman holding a face mask in one hand, looking at it, and a chained wrist on the other side.
Now is an excellent time to release attachment to some myth, while also questioning what the myth is.
Given that this card has a five on it, and a five is often blocking or balancing energy, it means you may also take some time apart to contemplate this.
The Completion card that overarches the theme tells me that this attachment isn't holding you for long, and maybe you already know what it was. Already perhaps you've let go of it.
What attachment are you dropping this month?
When you drop it, you continue towards completion.
For old attachments, they can come back a couple of times before they thoroughly let go.
Usually, as a thought, and to this thought, you can say, "Thank you for reminding me, but this is an old thought that no longer serves my future dream."
Ask your heart for a new dream, to replace it with, and keep going from there.
This brings us to the future. What benefit do we have from letting that attachment go this month?
I typically see the future as the pot of gold in the rainbow. The good things still to come.
The Future, what energy is coming forward for us to step into and get excited about
Patience
We are moving into November and the holiday season for most of us, for the final card.
The Patience card features a white, gold, and pink Faery Figure with wings, holding a golden-rimmed analog clock.
The figure is surrounded by snow and ice beneath her with frosty branches above her shoulders.
With so much water and golden energy on the card, it is safe to say this is a feminine, blissful virtue.
Patience is considered one of the pearls of Wisdom that all seek to attain on their enlightenment path.
This is the ultimate trust in the harmony of life cards. When you see it in a reading, it often means the person in question embodies this element.
It also tells me that the process of time is unfolding perfectly, and you are moving into acceptance with that.
Given the Completion card as the overarching theme, paired with the Patience card, it tells me some cycle is coming to a close this month.
Peaceful Presentation, Letting Go of Desperation.
It's a willingness to receive card, so if you have been working on affirmations of receptivity, this card shows these affirmations coming to fruition at the end of this month. Perhaps you embody the feeling and essence of Patience by month’s end.
The card's energy is all about relaxing, opening to allowing the Universe to support you, and letting go of the multiple possibilities of how that can come.
Patience in the future position is showing the reader opening their imagination to the many plausible ideas of how that receptivity can arrive.
If you've been working on a goal, this card is a reliable, ‘Don't Give Up On Your Goal’ message. Quiet your mind, and open your perception, your energy feelers; you may be surprised where they lead.
Especially moving into a time of the year that some consider hectic, seeing the Patience card is a good sign. The energy of patience also feels like unconditional love, so if you sense a feeling of love around you towards November, the virtue of Patience may be coming in.
So to recap, for October 2020, we have
The Completion card from The Black and White Wolf Pack Tarot tells us something is coming to a final point. It is a time of reward all this month.
Imagine yourself as a full Wolf after a meal, all month. Good things are creating a sense of fullness.
In the past, we have Rest and Rejuvenation, symbolizing some Divine slowness is moving out. If you listened to it, either by force or choice, good for you, it was welcomed and timed.
Next, in the present, attachments are dropping. Pat yourself on the back for identifying what those were and saying goodbye to them as they lift.
Letting these go, you lift a fog, perhaps contributing to the completion feelings overarching this month.
Finally, in the future, towards the end of October, the virtue and feeling of Patience arrives. You expressing yourself at this level towards the last week of October is a good thing for all around you, including you.
Be open to receiving, and don't give up on your goal. It's still coming as we move into November.
Allow yourself time this October to sense and embrace completion, of projects coming to a close, and congratulate yourself for releasing all attachments. Patience comes at the end of the month, meaning that your dreams and goals are yet to come.
